Welcome to Skillz, a mobile application that helps students practise and assess their school subjects through quizzes and analytics. Your privacy matters to us. This document explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control your information.

2. Data We Collect

• Account Info – Name, e-mail address, and password (hashed).
• Quiz Activity – Scores, attempts, time spent, and progress.
• Device Data – Anonymous device model, OS version, and crash logs.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To create and secure your Skillz account.
• To generate personalised analytics, leaderboards, and badges.
• To improve app performance and detect bugs.

4. Legal Basis

We process your data under legitimate interest (providing learning analytics) and consent (when you create an account or opt-in to notifications).

5. Sharing & Transfers

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Data is stored on Supabase servers located in the EU and may be processed by trusted service providers under strict confidentiality.

6. Your Rights

• Access or export your data at any time from the profile screen.
• Request correction or deletion by e-mail.
• Withdraw consent and close your account.

7. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Quiz history may be anonymised for statistical research after account deletion.

8. Children’s Privacy

Skillz is intended for students aged 13+. If you believe we have unintentionally collected data from a child under 13, please contact us.

We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you in-app or via e-mail before significant changes take effect.
